Captain John Zema
Captain John Zema has been fishing since age 3 and hunting since age 5. He has fished from the icy waters of Alaska to the Southern Pacific, down to the Florida Keys and up to the Grand Banks.
He earned his Captain’s license in 1996 and began chartering his vessel, the FINDOCTORÂ from Highlands New Jersey, where He became well known for bringing in big catches of weakfish, striped bass, and fluke.
In 2019 he set a new IFGA all tackle world record on the Voyager party boat with a 3.5-lb cunner.
He has hunted everything from caribou at the artic circle to elk, antelope, and mule deer in Montana and Wyoming, wild hogs and turkeys in the swamps of South Carolina and quail hunting in the Georgia pines. Taking 100 plus whitetail deer in NJ; most of which were taken with a compound bow. John also enjoys upland and waterfowl hunting.
Captain John is an 8-time New Jersey state champion skeet shooter, breaking 100×100, 54 times.
